I was at Grant Park with my wife and I saw this little girl peering from around a light post.
When you see kids, do you ever wonder what they are thinking, what they are fascinated by, and why?
I always look at their faces and think that I saw some adult person that looked like them or that I remember a kid that looked like them when I was in school. I wonder will they be anything like those people I know or used to know.
Do looks define who you become? Are certain personality attributes and tendencies associated with certain looks?
Does society make people a certain way. Do their friends family effect who we become because they treat us a certain way? We always seemed a certain way and looked a certain way so they got used to behaving as if that is who we were.
I find myself wondering will this little girl lead a great life. Wondering if she enjoy the world she is in and have great experiences or will she be scarred and damaged by the horrible things that people sometimes do to each other because a person looks certain way.
Will she be alive 50 years from now to see the things that she imagines and dreams right now materialize?
Will I be around?
What will she learn?
How much time does she have to live in every sense of the word?
